A chapel garden in rural Wales for a couple and their children to enjoy as their second home. A challenging site on a sloping hill with the former chapel surrounded by numerous graves and the garden was heavily overgrown.

The utmost care had to be taken here to respect the history and sense of place as well as deliver a design fit for modern purpose with a garage and studio space.

I drew inspiration from the work of Kyffin Williams, the noted landscape painter as the images I saw of the site reminded me of his work. I experimented with several sketch overlays of the space before ultimately completing this design in Vectorworks.
